Belleview 500 PDF Print E-mail

The Belleview 500 walk-a-thon and carnival was held on Friday, October 16th. Belleview raised about $14,000! The 3rd Grade raised over $2,000 for the school and they received a rain gutter banana split as their prize! The Neel Family was awarded the Belleview Champion Prize and the Crocker Family received the Surprise Finish Drawing. Each family will receive one month’s tuition for their family.

The students, staff, family and community members walked over 500 miles or 2,500 laps around the Castle. Students who walked over 10 laps received a free homework coupon. When students had finished walking around the Castle, they rotated through the carnival games that Jesse McRae had made. The games included Body Stickers, Hoops, Baseball Toss, Over the Rainbow Penny Toss, Lollipop Pull Tree, Treasure Dig, and Pop Ring Toss. In addition there was an inflatable jumping castle and giant slide. To add to the festivities, Dan Naab of Auto Up provided the music and made announcements as the DJ for the event.

The food court included items sold by student groups including breakfast burritos, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, pop, water, cookies, and ice cream floats in the food court. The Parent Involvement Committee sold coffee and hot cocoa.

It was a fun fall day filled that uplifted everyone’s spirit as we walked together to raise funds for the school.

The third grade class raised the most money and received a rain gutter ice cream sundae. Yum!!!
