“
Learning…To Please Him!” Colossians 1:10 is Belleview’s
theme verse. “Learning…To Please Him” is Belleview’s
part in helping students learn to make choices that please
Jesus Christ! This includes choices in academics, on the playground,
in competition, in the family and in the world. As educators
and parents, it is our responsibility to model and teach the
biblical lifestyle.
EDUCATIONAL GOAL: To graduate students who will live for Christ
and who can articulately defend the faith in a compromising world.
PHILOSOPHY: Academics and the development
of the student’s
personal relationship with Jesus Christ are hand-in-hand at
Belleview Christian School. It is our job, in partnership with
parents,
to educate and model high standards for Christian living in
order to accomplish the goal we have for every graduating student.
MENTORING PROGRAM: We’re a family at Belleview
Christian School. High school students are seen once a week
interacting
with elementary students, praying and reading Scripture together.
SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS: Everyone at Belleview
is employed with a common purpose – to provide the best
in education while helping students develop and grow in their
personal relationship
with Jesus Christ. As a result, Belleview offers many opportunities
for spiritual growth. Our favorites include:
Spiritual Life Retreat: Every secondary student enrolled at
Belleview participates in a retreat designed to build relationships
with
other students and faculty while challenging them to grow deeper
with Jesus Christ. The retreat is most definitely a highlight
of every student’s memory at Belleview.
Belleview Ministry Day: Students are taught biblical principles
daily in the classroom and in weekly chapel services. The Belleview
Ministry Day is our school’s effort to put ministry into
action. The purpose is to teach all students the value of serving
one another and to be a blessing to others.
ACCELERATED READING: This program is designed
for our elementary and junior high students to encourage reading
and to improve
upon their comprehension skills. We believe that reading and
comprehension are critical to every student’s success in
all other academic applications. The AR program has shown dramatic
results by improving students’ reading comprehension
by an average of a grade and a half.
